A figure torques midair, head tilted back and featureless, hands splayed open at the chest. The body is rendered in pale plaster white against layered planes of teal, slate, and deep black — rectangular cuts that stack without perspective, holding the figure inside a structure it does not fit. Burnt orange erupts at the edges: dried, chalky, applied before or after everything else. The figure is mid-motion but the motion has no destination. Planes of the body separate at the hip and dissolve below the knee into scrolling ribbons of teal and black — not falling, not rising, simply unspooling. What should anchor the image at its base opens instead into voids. The body is present at its most articulate point — the reaching hands — and most absent where it should be grounded.
