Two figures — or the same figure twice — locked in diagonal across a pale ground. Translucent planes of blue and grey membrane stretch between them like dried fascia or torn silk, fused at points where fibrous dark threads knot the tissue together. A face tilts in profile at the upper right, cheekbone and jaw still legible; below it, the torso curves inward, knees folding, weight unresolved.
The image holds two readings that refuse to separate: collision and extension, two masses pulling apart and pulling toward each other simultaneously. The pale ground does not recede — it presses. At the base, ochre residue bleeds upward like sediment, marking how far the forms have descended without landing. Nothing here has reached the ground. Nothing has left it.

Artist
SaintPixel is an art project created by Mikael Gueguen, who was born in France in the 1970s. He trained in applied arts and fine arts, including a two-year apprenticeship in decorative painting (wood and marble finishes, large-scale scenic designs, and trompe l'œil). An IT entrepreneur in the 2000s, he returned to artistic and manual practice, working today at the intersection of traditional media and generative AI.
