A head and throat, tilted back, chin raised — the posture of exposure. The surface carries dense engraved line: fine, continuous hatching that reads as both skin and stone, the body rendered in the register of anatomical draftsmanship. Where the skull should close, it does not. Planes of the face have separated and folded outward, exposing three dark voids — deep teal-black, interior, unlit.
The apertures are not wounds. They are structural — openings that the form has always contained, now visible. The engraved lines continue across the edges of each void without interruption, as though the surface knows its own gaps. Below, the torso recedes into darkness that shares its material with the interior voids. The body does not break here. It discloses.

Artist
SaintPixel is an art project created by Mikael Gueguen, who was born in France in the 1970s. He trained in applied arts and fine arts, including a two-year apprenticeship in decorative painting (wood and marble finishes, large-scale scenic designs, and trompe l'œil). An IT entrepreneur in the 2000s, he returned to artistic and manual practice, working today at the intersection of traditional media and generative AI.
