The face is divided before it is seen. Vertical bands cut the head into incompatible states: one warm, pressed, flesh under pressure against a deep red ground; another cold, white, cracked along lines that run like dried veins across plaster. A large hand covers the left half — not to conceal, but as another plane of the same fragmentation. The single eye that remains visible holds the image without softening it. Nothing here is decorative damage. The cracks, the compression, the colour shift — each is structural. Daemon names a presence that operates through interference, not despite it.
