Returnsconditions
A male figure in profile, lean and upright, leans forward over a surface that no longer holds its form. The upper body carries definition — jaw, beard, clavicle, the dark line of an arm — while below the waist the figure dissolves into scored marks, running verticals, and pooled dark matter against a flat yellow-green ground.
The yellow is not atmospheric. It does not suggest light or warmth — it is a pressure applied uniformly from every direction, absorbing the figure's lower half without drama. What the eye anchors on first — the face in profile, the posture of concentration — is structurally intact only at its peak. Descent is dissolution. The image holds that gradient without offering resolution.
