A figure stands frontal, dark against a field of saturated yellow. The face is present but worn — features worked into the surface rather than rendered onto it. Two further figures emerge from the background, slightly offset, less resolved: echoes or prior states of the same form.
The yellow is not light — it is pressure. It pushes against the dark mass of the body without illuminating it. What reads as painting carries the memory of a process: layered, scraped, returned to. The title names an inversion the image performs quietly.

Artist
SaintPixel is an art project created by Mikael Gueguen, who was born in France in the 1970s. He trained in applied arts and fine arts, including a two-year apprenticeship in decorative painting (wood and marble finishes, large-scale scenic designs, and trompe l'œil). An IT entrepreneur in the 2000s, he returned to artistic and manual practice, working today at the intersection of traditional media and generative AI.
