A torso twists against two rectangular fields of deep navy — architectural interruptions that neither frame nor contain it. The figure is built from dense, flowing contour lines: cool blue-grey across the shoulders and chest, bleeding into red and ochre where the musculature opens at the sternum and abdomen. The head tilts and recedes, partially dissolved into the pale ground above. The lines do not describe anatomy — they enact it, each layer pulling in a slightly different direction, so the body reads as simultaneous states of tension and release held in the same mass. Where red appears, it is interior pressure made visible, not wound and not warmth. The figure does not resolve into a single form. It stays mid-construction, requiring sustained attention before it yields even partial recognition.
