Two bodies locked in a hold that reads as dance before it reads as struggle. The larger figure — bald, mineral, teal-green as oxidized bronze — bends over a smaller form thrown back in full extension, one hand open, throat exposed. Both are draped in heavy cloth that has taken on the colour and grain of the ground beneath them. Where fabric meets skin meets stone, the distinction has collapsed. Horizontal bands cut across the lower body, interrupting the surface with traces of red pigment and scored text half-buried under translucent layers. The interruption does not break the gesture — it reveals the image as substrate, a thing built from strata. Above the fracture, the bodies continue their hold. The embrace is not tender. It is structural — two masses in a single system of weight, each dependent on the other not to fall.
