A figure curls downward, head bowed, hands gathered at the centre — posture of collapse or concentration, the distinction withheld. The surface cuts the body into faceted planes: warm sienna and raw umber against blue-grey ground, each plane carrying fine engraved line-work as though the skin were scored wood or old map.
The fragmentation is not damage — it is structure. Planes of the body rotate against one another, incompatible in angle, consistent in weight. Above, a second figure arcs over the first, incomplete, its torso barely held. The image refuses to settle the question of whether what is breaking is the form or the act.

Artist
SaintPixel is an art project created by Mikael Gueguen, who was born in France in the 1970s. He trained in applied arts and fine arts, including a two-year apprenticeship in decorative painting (wood and marble finishes, large-scale scenic designs, and trompe l'œil). An IT entrepreneur in the 2000s, he returned to artistic and manual practice, working today at the intersection of traditional media and generative AI.
