A bald figure bends forward, head dropped, eyes closed. The skin reads as cracked plaster — fine lines mapping the skull and neck like dried earth. Below, robes of dark fabric fold and accumulate, rendered in dense contour lines that give cloth the weight of stone. One hand extends, loose-wristed, fingers slightly open, resting against the mass of gathered material. The gold disc sits behind the head without crowning it — the figure has turned away from whatever the disc once signified. Stray threads escape the composition at the upper left, unanchored. Skin and cloth share the same system of marks, the same surface logic, so that body and garment become one continuous material. The weight of the posture is the subject — not collapse, not rest, but a form that has ceased to argue with gravity.
