A blank cream oval of a head, hooded to the chin, above a long dress caught mid-swirl against a black column. One gloved hand lifts the skirt. Fine strings drop from the hem to a pair of white sneakers hanging below.
No feature interrupts the glossy head. It has a showroom mannequin's poise, built to be read in an instant. The dress will not follow. Pencil seams run across it as if still undecided, black bites into the hem, and the taut strings give the lightness a load to carry.
The sneakers hang at the lowest point, laced and slightly scuffed, the one ordinary object here. Their pull on the strings keeps the whole swirl answerable to a floor, and a person passing them is reminded of their own weight.

Artist
SaintPixel is an art project created by Mikael Gueguen, who was born in France in the 1970s. He trained in applied arts and fine arts, including a two-year apprenticeship in decorative painting (wood and marble finishes, large-scale scenic designs, and trompe l'œil). An IT entrepreneur in the 2000s, he returned to artistic and manual practice, working today at the intersection of traditional media and generative AI.
