A bearded man seated on a low block, robes gathered heavy around him, one leg crossed, a fist raised to the chin. The figure is built from dark impasto — layered, scraped, dense — and the yellow behind it is neither background nor space but a field of active chromatic force pressing in from every edge.
The body absorbs rather than reflects. Where the robe meets the ground, paint runs and the figure begins to dissolve into the surface that opposes it. The gaze is turned inward — not downward, not averted, but withheld. Whatever the figure sees, it sees without looking out.

Artist
SaintPixel is an art project created by Mikael Gueguen, who was born in France in the 1970s. He trained in applied arts and fine arts, including a two-year apprenticeship in decorative painting (wood and marble finishes, large-scale scenic designs, and trompe l'œil). An IT entrepreneur in the 2000s, he returned to artistic and manual practice, working today at the intersection of traditional media and generative AI.
