A bust, three-quarter turn, head slightly lowered. The entire surface is built from angled planes — hatched paper, folded engraving, shards of deep navy and bruised rust interrupting the dominant grey-white. The neck and jaw hold their structure while the skull fractures upward into looser, sharper fragments.
No plane agrees with its neighbor. Each facet carries its own direction of line, its own tonal weight, pressing against adjacent surfaces without merging. The figure remains legible — recognizably a head, a throat, a shoulder — but only just: recognition is work here, something earned passage by passage rather than granted at a glance.

Artist
SaintPixel is an art project created by Mikael Gueguen, who was born in France in the 1970s. He trained in applied arts and fine arts, including a two-year apprenticeship in decorative painting (wood and marble finishes, large-scale scenic designs, and trompe l'œil). An IT entrepreneur in the 2000s, he returned to artistic and manual practice, working today at the intersection of traditional media and generative AI.
