A large pale-blue dome, ruled with fine contour lines, fills the left. Shells, a cream spiral and a brown husk crowd the centre. One black wire drops from the top edge into them. Flat blue tiles cut across the base.
The dome was drawn line by line, each contour laid down by a hand. The shells are lacework, veined and pitted. The tiles were cut with a straight edge and filled flat. Blue scribble runs loose in one corner. Hand, rule and flat fill each took a zone, and the wire is where their claims meet. What gathers there is a head no type covers.
The cream spiral looks made to charm, yet its veins run like a hand's, and a tile slices its curve. Every soft form here has a neighbour that disturbs it, so none can be taken for ornament.

Artist
SaintPixel is an art project created by Mikael Gueguen, who was born in France in the 1970s. He trained in applied arts and fine arts, including a two-year apprenticeship in decorative painting (wood and marble finishes, large-scale scenic designs, and trompe l'œil). An IT entrepreneur in the 2000s, he returned to artistic and manual practice, working today at the intersection of traditional media and generative AI.
